  • Hazel Tindall

    Hazel Tindall

    Knitter & Instructor from Shetland

    www.hazeltindall.com

Hazel Tindall was born and brought up in Shetland, and cannot remember learning to knit, before she started school. Her teenage years were spent hand knitting fair isle yokes – a great way to learn how to use colours, and choose suitable patterns. To keep boredom at bay she also created new patterns which she still uses. While Hazel’s first love is fair isle knitting, she also knits lace, using both thick and thin yarns. In Shetland, she regularly leads workshops - during Shetland Wool Week, and for Arena Travel and Celtic Tours. She has been a tutor at Edinburgh Yarn Festival, Loch Ness Knit Fest, Dornoch Fibre Festival and Craft Cruises. Hazel has made 2 knitting DVDs, and she writes patterns for others to follow.
