Class Details: In this class we shall investigate the possibilities of Shetland Lace. From a selection of lace motifs you will be encouraged to use your creative skills to plan and knit your own unique design. Sample designs will be available for the less adventurous to work from, or as inspiration. An important part of Shetland Lace knitting is Lace Edges, we shall look at examples of these and discuss their uses. The advantages of using a knitting belt will be demonstrated and discussed.
What to Bring: 1 ball of lace weight yarn. 3.mm x 2 dpn (30 cm in length if you would like to try a knitting belt) or a circular needle 80cm. Blunt Tapestry needle.
