Workshop Description: Shawls do not have to be difficult to knit. Here you will learn to start from the top in an easy way, or if you like with a garter tab and explore ways to design your own triangle shawl and other shapes, each made from the top down. We will knit samples to learn different ways to start a triangular shawl. What to bring: Bring fingering weight, sport or DK if you like, but enough to make a few samples. Or if you would rather choose one method and start a shawl bring at least 400 m in a fingering weight yarn. Very fine (lace) or very dark colours are not good for learning new knitting methods. If you like bigger shawls bring more yarn. Bring circular lace needles, 60-80 cm long that are suitable for the yarn (3.5 – 5 mm). Bring a few stitch markers. You can also purchase yarn and needles from the teacher.
